As a Japanese seller of the Sanwa JLF we know how popular the joystick is. For a couple of decades now the joystick has probably been the best that is out there and the standard for Japanese arcade gaming.

If you wanted you could play with it stock but you could also change the main guide to an octagonal one and get a completely different feeling of it.
Over the years there have been numerous people/companies developing different parts for the Sanwa JLF to make it more refined; custom actuators, harder springs, round gates et.c. 
While all these parts changed the feel of the JLF somewhat it never revolutionized anything but that is about to change.

"OTTO DIY Kit V5 - Japanese Version", made by OTTO DIY, is a very high quality product kit that will transform the normal Sanwa JLF to a joystick that feels extremely smooth, reduces throw and increase the feeling when doing 360 movement. Basically this is what the ultimate JLF would feel like.
 

What's included in the V5 Kit:

  • OTTO DIY Nylon JLF Joystick Body
  • OTTO DIY FD Nylon Gate - Square Gate
    Standard square gate just like the one that normally sits on the Sanwa JLF, the difference however is that this in made out of one piece and not two like the one from Sanwa, this means it has a more solid construction.
  • OTTO DIY BYF Nylon Gate - Circle Hybrid Gate
    This gate is a more circular gate but with distinctive corners like the square gate which means you can easily do 360 movements and find the corners.
  • OTTO DIY Nylon Oversized Actuator Kit - 12, 12.5, and 13mm
    The kit comes with three different sized actuators which will help you find the perfect throw.
  • OTTO DIY Teflon Pivot
    This is a machined piece of teflon that makes it smoother and more durable that what the JLF originally comes with. 
  • OTTO DIY "Gold" YFS Screws and Nuts
    Fastens the nylon body to the Sanwa mounting plate.
  • Grease by Shin Etsu
    We will include some G-40M grease by Shin-Etsu so you can lube the parts correctly, just like Sanwa does.

  • Shaft (Product name: JL-S9F)
  • E-clip (Product name: JLF-E)
  • Dust Cover (Product name: JL-PP1)
  • ASSY PCB (Product name: TP-MA).
  • Spring Receiver (Product name: JLF-P-6)
  • Standard Spring (Product name: JLF-SP)


Optional parts that fit the kit:

  • JLF S-Mounting Plate (Product name: JLF-P-1S)
  • Optical ASSY PCB (Product name: GamerFinger Optical PCB)
